Tournament Day


Competition Times

Registration in Strong Hall is from 7:00am-8:00am.

Impound runs from 7:45am-8:30am at the event location.

Events are held across campus from 8:30am-1:30pm.

Awards Ceremony is held at McDonald Arena, beginning at 3:30pm.


Information to help you prepare and make the best of your day at Missouri State University.

  • Bus drop-off and pick-up will be at Strong Hall, as accessed via Holland. Buses should then park at Lot 22 or 24 (south of Grand). Other vehicles may park in any lots EXCEPT 5, 9a, 10a, 19a, 18 and 28.
  • On-site registration will take place in the second floor of Strong Hall. Coaches should report to the Information Desk in the atrium of Strong Hall (pictured above) once their entire team is present and all paperwork is collected. At that time, a volunteer will escort the entire team to the banding room upstairs.
  • Coaches will receive an information packet at registration with the session enrollments for their team members. Do NOT send students to an event session until students have received hand stamps and wristbands; students without hand stamps and wristbands will NOT be allowed to compete. No exceptions. Event leaders will take roll in each event room and students will ONLY be allowed to compete in the session in which they are enrolled.
  • All student teams will set up their "crash" areas in Strong Hall ONLY.  The list of "crash" sites can be found online prior to the tournament. If for some reason these rooms do not work for a particular team, please contact the Regional Director as soon as possible.
  • There is NO allowance for student alternates at the Regional tournament.
  • OPEN SESSIONS: Teams should try to sign up for open events between 7:45 and 8:30 AM.  Anyone from your team may do this, and sign-up sheets will be posted at the event location.  Open sessions are first-come, first served, and teams that fail to sign up will NOT receive extra time.
  • IMPOUNDING: All events that require the device to be impounded will do so at the event location, with the event leader. All devices must be PERMANENTLY LABELED with team and school name, and must be impounded PRIOR to the start of the event (not the individual session).
  • Plaster Student Union will be open the day of the tournament to allow coaches, parents, and team members to eat on campus. The Student Union offers a variety of restaurants including Subway, Chick-Fil-A, and Papa John's.
  • The Awards Ceremony will begin at 3:30 PM in McDonald Arena.  The ceremony will conclude by 4:30 PM.  Every attempt will be made to meet the posted timelines and to conclude all activities by 4:30 PM.
