IMPORTANT NOTICE - PLEASE READ!

The following tables list the results from the 2004 Region 7 Science Olympiad, held March 13, 2004, on the campus of Missouri State University.  

Scoring for B DIVISION was compiled using a 22 point scoring system as follows:  First place received 1 point, second place received 2 points, and so on in ascending order until the maximum participation points of 21 - teams which did NOT participate in that event received 22 points.  Scoring for C DIVISION was compiled using a 20 point scoring system as follows:  First place received 1 point, second place received 2 points, and so on in ascending order until the maximum participation points of 19 - teams which did NOT participate in that event received 20 points.  Like golf, the lowest score wins.

State Science Olympiad regulations prohibit more than one team from the same school attending State Olympiad.  If more than one team from the same school placed in the top four, the team with the highest ranking was awarded the opportunity to go on to state competition.  This provides the greatest number of schools the chance to participate.  If you have any questions regarding your team's placement, please contact Michelle Norgren at 417-836-6150.
