THIS YEAR'S FAIR DATES ARE March 31 - April 2, 2009!

Elementary Division
(for students in grades 3-5)

The Elementary portion of the fair does not compete for placement of awards.  It is an exhibition of the best projects from area elementary schools.   These are the only student projects which can be picked up between 12:00 noon and 5:00 pm on Thursday, April 2, 2009.

An Open Letter from Chairman of the Elementary Committee:

The 2009 Ozarks Science and Engineering Fair will be held from Tuesday, March 31, to Thursday, April 2.  This is a great opportunity for recognition of exemplary projects and preparation for future science fair participation.  These projects will not compete, but they will be recognized as outstanding elementary science fair projects.  Elementary schools are invited to display their five (5) best projects.

The projects need to be set up between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM on Tuesday, March 31, at the Hammons Student Center on the Missouri State University Campus.  The dimension limits of the projects are 30 inches deep X 9 feet tall (including the table) X 4 feet wide.  The projects will remain set up for public viewing until Thursday, April 2, and must be removed between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM on Thursday, April 2.   Any projects remaining after the close of the fair will be discarded, so be sure to pick them up before the deadline.

When the students arrive to set up their projects on March 31, they will need to go to Hammons Student Center and enter through the east doors.  From there, they will check in at the information table, where volunteers will direct them to the appropriate area for displaying their completed projects.
